Job summaryThe internet is too slow!The AWS Global Accelerator service provides our global customers and their end users an on-ramp to the lightning fast and highly available AWS global network to route and load-balance requests to services running in the closest AWS region.
These customers' clients are able to access their services via the nearest AWS edge location using a Global (static, anycast) IP address which ingresses their traffic onto the AWS backbone network instead of being routed over the public internet.
AGA is able to load balance requests between multiple AWS regions and endpoints for high availability.
The AWS Global Accelerator Systems Team is looking for system engineers to solve challenging scalability, compliance, and operational opportunities driven by growth.
We operate in over 100 locations worldwide and provide advanced functionality that enables the Global Accelerator services to efficiently expand globally and regionally in response to continue customer adoption.
The team is responsible for creating solutions that will enable this growth.
Key job responsibilitiesYou will use metrics to drive operational improvements, build and implement the latest technologies to reduce operational issues, and manually patch Edge && VPCE Fleets within the Amazon Global Accelerator services.
A day in the lifeOn a typical day, systems development engineers will manage, monitor, and help create edge systems that will enable our teams growth.
This person would have the opportunity to deep dive into anomalies, address scaling needs, and use data to ensure our services maintain an always on uptime.
We build or update tools typically written in Python or Ruby.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
